What are Subliminals?

The word "subliminal" means "under the threshold" in Latin. It refers to information that is too faint for you to sense consciously, but that is recorded by your subconscious mind. (It can also refer to information your conscious mind has decided to ignore in favor of other, more obvious or interesting information.) Subliminals are useful for making changes to the subconscious "program" that guides your actions. Since the subconscious mind does not have the capacity for logical thinking, it will literally believe whatever you tell it, as long as you tell it with enough emotional impact, or enough repetition.

Can the conscious disagree with the subconscious?

It is possible for the conscious mind to disagree with the subconscious mind, and when this happens, the subconscious mind will always win the argument. (If you're having trouble with conscious vs. subconscious, just think of it like this: The conscious mind is what wakes up in the morning. The subconscious mind is what dreams while "you" sleep; but it is also "awake" while "you" are, too.  It never sleeps.)

How do subliminals work?

Subliminal recordings take advantage of the fact that the conscious mind is designed to focus on only a small number of things, whereas the subconscious records everything that registers on any of your senses. By using subliminals to repeatedly expose the subconscious to specific messages, you can cause it to accept those messages as a new belief system (kind of like a line of computer programming). Once it has done that, it begins acting on (or manifesting) the new programming, and the changes take place.

What are supraliminals?

Where subliminals operate below the threshold, supraliminals operate above the threshold of conscious detection. An example of supraliminals would be ultrasonic sounds. (We offer ultrasonics and call them subliminals because not many people are familiar with the term 'supraliminal'.)

What is the difference between subliminals and supraliminals?

Audio "subliminals" generally come in two major formats: Masked and ultrasonic. Masked subliminals are audible speech or other sounds that is masked by some other sound. An example of this is subliminals that sound like the ocean, but have speech buried in the ocean sounds just below the volume that you can consciously hear over the ocean sounds. Masked subliminals take advantage of the fact that your conscious mind is trying to pay attention to what is most important.  They are true subliminals.

Ultrasonics are speech or other sounds that have been made so high pitched that they stop vibrating your eardrum, as normal sounds do.  As best we can determine, they instead vibrate some part of your inner ear. They are therefore effectively silent to conscious hearing, but the subconscious detect the stimulation (probably of the inner ear), decodes it, and makes sense of it. These do not need a "cover" or "mask", so they can be recorded and played back with no other sounds present. The result sounds like a blank CD, but a visualizer set to display volume by pitch will reveal the presence of sounds being played. Ultrasonic subliminals have certain advantages over masked subliminals, but masked subliminals also have certain advantages over ultrasonics.

The vast majority of subliminals available are in masked format because this format is easy to make, and has a long history of being effective when properly created and used. Ultrasonics are much more difficult to make, but are usually more effective because the subliminal information is significantly louder.

Because there are advantages to both masked and ultrasonic formats, I created the "Dual Format Subliminal", in which one track is a masked version of the title, and the other track is the silent ultrasonic subliminal version of the title. This makes the program much more versatile and useful in a broader range of circumstances. This idea has been hailed by other producers of subliminals, and is now quite often imitated.

How do subliminals compare to hypnosis? How long does it take to get results?

Subliminals do basically the same thing as hypnosis, but without using awareness alteration. They typically require repeated use over a number of days or weeks or months to have full effect. Anyone who is advertising "instant results" with subliminals is not being honest. While subliminals can sometimes produce results after just one exposure, this is very unusual and typically happens when the goal is both desired strongly and there is a time limit. Subliminals usually take 3-4 weeks of exposure to begin showing results if you use them for an hour a day, and 1-2 weeks to start seeing results if you use them 4 to 8 hours a day (or all night long each night, as I prefer). Hypnosis typically sees much faster results, but because it is something you must do consciously, and must put more effort and time into (lay down, relax, do nothing else, listen, focus, pay attention, cooperate, and repeat)the results tend to be shorter lived unless you're dealing with a live hypnotist, and a very advanced one at that.

I have seen people get results from subliminal programming in less than a week (as little as two or three nights worth of use in some cases) when the program was used all night long, every night. The only type of subliminal that works faster than that is audio aphrodisiacs, which can work in under 10 minutes if used and created properly, in perfect conditions.

How many programs can I use at once?

You can use more than one subliminal program at a time, but the more you use at once, the longer each title will require to take effect. The simple rule of thumb is, use as few at a time as you possibly can. One at a time is ideal, and is what the programs are designed for.  Two at a time maximum, under normal circumstances.  There are exceptions, so please see this for more specifics: http://subliminal-talk.com/Thread-How-many-can-be-used-at-once

What if I want a custom subliminal?  What if I want a title you don't have?

We also do custom work, and can create new titles for you as well!  Just ask.  Sometimes, custom orders are not available while we catch up with other work, however.  There are a full complement of custom order options available in the store when they are available.

Can you put a subliminal in my music for me?

We can - but we will not do so as it is too easy to infringe on copyright that way, and we do not have any easy way to know you have the rights to the music you are presenting to us.  Therefore, we make a policy of simply refusing such requests.

I read a study that said subliminals don't work.  How can you say they do?

Quite simply, because we have seen and experienced it for ourselves that they do work too many times to think otherwise!

For every study you can find that says they do not work, you can find one that says exactly the reverse.  Studies on subliminal effectiveness commonly suffer from three major problems:

  1. The researcher does not have sufficient understanding of the subject.
  2. The researcher is not approaching the study from a neutral standpoint of "I don't know", and is instead attenpting to prove at some level that they do not work.
  3. The complexity of people, subliminals and their effects is such that scientific testing is extremely difficult to do in a "hard science" manner.

When a subliminal program is made properly and used properly, it will work.  The user may resist it successfully in rare cases, which may result in no visible effects or results that differ from the stated goals, but the program is still working.  Otherwise it would not require resistance!

The best way to know if subliminals work for yourself is to try using several different kinds, according to the instructions.  You may do well to try them from several producers, but do not use subliminals from different producers all at once, as they may negate eachothers effects.  You should also approach them with a neutral stanpoint, understanding that you do not yet know that they work, but not feeling any need to believe they do or do not until you see evidence in either direction.  Also understand that subliminals are typically slow and subtle, and may require one or more months of use to see the results, which may only be noticeable when you look back after the fact.  It depends on the person, the subliminal, and how it's made and used.

Realize that if they did not work, we could not stay in business.  The placebo effect would far and away not be able to float this business, and having a public forum on top of that would sink us for sure.  We can only do these things and stay in business because the programs actually work.
